Dr. Sheetal Woods is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in the state of Washington. She earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UCLA.
A lifelong lover of science, Dr. Woods has always been deeply interested in understanding the struggles that prevent people from achieving true health and wellness. Her own personal healing journey—overcoming challenges with weight and a debilitating digestive disorder, Ulcerative Colitis—fueled her passion to help others find the same path toward balance and vitality.
Through her education at Bastyr University, a pioneering institution in the field of natural medicine, and through her personal experience, Dr. Woods learned to guide patients through the complex process of healing the body, mind, and spirit. She believes that the human body is extraordinarily resilient and capable of profound recovery once obstacles to healing are removed.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Woods explored both contemporary Western medicine and traditional healing systems including Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, European nature cure, homeopathy, and Western herbalism. She is also a Certified Ayurvedic Therapist. Over the years, her clinical focus has expanded to include autoimmune diseases, gastrointestinal disorders (IBD, IBS, etc.), chronic illness, women’s health, and hormonal imbalances.
Dr. Woods integrates yoga therapy and craniosacral therapy into her treatments, honoring the body’s innate ability to heal itself. She is also a passionate advocate for community health and education.
Dr. Woods is proud to be part of the team at Sophia Health Institute®, where she works alongside Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt—sharing a commitment to uncovering root causes and promoting deep, lasting healing for patients worldwide.
