Dr. Naomi Poirier was born and raised in Michigan, where she earned both her Associate and Bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology with honors from Lansing Community College and Michigan State University, respectively. Following her undergraduate education, she gained valuable clinical experience working for six years as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA). During this time, she collaborated closely with ophthalmologists specializing in retina, glaucoma, and oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Poirier developed advanced skills in ophthalmic imaging, refractometry, and in-office surgical assistance. She also contributed to large, multi-center clinical research studies focused on emerging intravitreal therapies for various ocular conditions. Concurrently, she pursued advanced science coursework at Grand Valley State University and Aquinas College in preparation for medical school.
Her journey into naturopathic medicine led her to Bastyr University in Washington, where she completed a rigorous four-year doctoral program in Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Poirier’s clinical interests include environmental medicine, homeopathy, and botanical medicine. Her dedication to integrative and holistic approaches ultimately guided her to study under Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, further deepening her commitment to helping patients achieve optimal health and lasting wellness.
